The Lift Church’s Rubber Duck Hunt — The Lift Church’s Rubber Duck Hunt replaces the traditional Easter Egg Hunt with finding rubber ducks instead of Easter Eggs.
The Lift Church’s Rubber Duck Hunt

Easter is a time for joy, celebration, and a whole lot of fun, especially for the little ones! This year, The Lift Church in Sevierville, TN, decided to shake things up again and put a unique twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt. Instead of colorful eggs, they will fill the Sevier County Fairgrounds with adorable rubber ducks, creating a “Duck Hunt” that had kids and families quacking with excitement!
Forget the frantic scramble for plastic Easter eggs; The Lift Church’s rubber duck adventure is a delightful and refreshing change. Imagine a sea of vibrant rubber ducks, bobbing and waiting to be discovered. From classic yellow ducks to quirky designs and fun colors, the variety was sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Why Rubber Ducks?
You might be wondering, why rubber ducks? Well, The Lift Church wanted to create an experience that was not only fun but also memorable. Rubber ducks are universally loved and bring a sense of playful nostalgia. Plus, they offer some distinct advantages over traditional eggs:
- Durability: No more crushed or broken eggs! Rubber ducks are built to last.
- Keepsakes: Unlike Easter eggs that are often discarded, these rubber ducks became cherished keepsakes for the kids.
- Variety: The range of rubber duck designs allowed for a more diverse and exciting hunt.
- Prize Exchange: The rubber ducks were not just for finding; they could also be traded in for a variety of prizes!
A Prize-Winning Quack-tivity
The fun didn’t stop at finding the rubber ducks. After the duck hunt, children have the option to keep their newfound rubbery friends or trade them in for exciting prizes. This added an extra layer of anticipation and excitement to the event.
The Lift Church created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that every child has a fantastic time. The smiles and laughter will be contagious, and it is clear that the rubber duck hunt had been and continued to be a resounding success.
More Than Just a Duck Hunt
Beyond the fun and games, The Lift Church’s event is a testament to their commitment to creating a vibrant and engaging community. They show that Easter celebrations can be innovative and meaningful, fostering a sense of joy and connection among families.
This unique twist on the Easter tradition is a perfect example of how churches can think outside the box and create memorable experiences for their congregations and the wider community.
What Can We Learn?
The Lift Church’s rubber duck hunt reminds us that:
- Traditions can be reimagined to create new and exciting experiences.
- Simple ideas can bring immense joy and create lasting memories.

2025 marks the 3rd Annual (Rubber) Duck Hunt on Saturday, April 12 at the Sevier County Fair Grounds on Old Knoxville Highway. Instead of an egg hunt, Lift Church does a rubber ducky hunt with thousands of rubber ducks for kids, ages 2-9, to gather up and keep OR turn in for prizes!
There’s fun for everyone in the family: food trucks, bounce houses, Christian music, Grand Prize Drawings (for items like dinner show tickets, Dollywood tickets, restaurant and entertainment tickets, and hundreds of dollars worth of other prizes.)
